Frequently Asked Questions

Is there after care available?

Yes, we offer our students the opportunity of staying on our campus with supervised care until 5pm at an additinal cost. For further information on the options for after care please see our tabs entitled “Enrichment” and “After Care” under the My BPIS section of this website.

Is there transportation offered?

Yes, we offer bus transportation within a 20 mile radius for all grade levels. For more information please refer to: Bus Transportation 2014-2015

What are the school hours?

8:00am- 3:10pm

Do you offer any summer programs?

Yes, Boca Prep offers three different summer camp options. Please refer to the “Summer” section of this website for more information on each.

Do you provide student visas?

Yes, we are happy to say that we can offer the I-20 paperwork to students who are accepted and enrolled at Boca Prep.

Do you offer financial aid and/or are scholarships available?

We have a limited number of academic scholarship opportunities available for the upper school level only . For more information please contact the admissions department.

If my child is part of the Performance Program, what will the daily schedule be?

Upper level students will train for two hours each morning in the chosen academy as part of the regular school curriculum. Middle and High School students train Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. and then continue their school day at Boca Prep where they will attend five core courses. Students in the full time performance program attend training the morning in lieu of the electives programs offered at Boca Prep. Lower school students (3rd-5th) participate in the Performance Program starting at 2:30pm.

What about academics?

Boca Prep is an IB World School and we require all students to be fully engaged and successful in their academic program. We offer the IB Diploma in grades 11 and 12 and in preparation for this, students follow the IB primary and middle years programs. Students can graduate with the IB Diploma, follow single subject IB Certificate Courses or graduate with normal high school credits.

What grade would my child be in?

Boca Prep follows the standard Florida cut off deadline of September 1st. If your child is of the required age before September 1st, they will be placed in the following grades:

K– 5                  3rd– 8              6th– 11               9th– 14               12th– 17

1st– 6               4th– 9               7th– 12              10th– 15

2nd– 7             5th– 10            8th– 13               11th– 16
